Artist Bio
Hey folks, thanks for stopping by, it’s nice to meet you :)
I’m a UK-based illustrator and maker, with a passion for communication and storytelling inspired by history and popular culture. I studied BA Hons Illustration at the University of Wolverhampton School of Art, with a special interest in Children’s Illustration.
I’ve worked on a range of projects of differing scales, from hand-rendered large-scale murals, to children’s picture books, editorial briefs, and decorative designs. I mainly work digitally, but I often go back to more traditional methods to test ideas and recharge my creative batteries. If I’m not drawing, i’m making, and can usually be found covered in paint/glue/vinyl in my studio based at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
I’m a cat-mum of two (aptly named Vincent and Frida) who enjoy helping me paint, usually with paw smears. I love to travel Europe, especially on water, with my favourite place visited so far being Norway; it’s such a beautiful country with so much heritage to be inspired by, and plenty of tranquil spaces to relax and whip out the old sketchbook. I enjoy visiting English Heritage and National Trust sites around the UK, whilst sampling the local tea and cake shops. I also have a complulsive passion for learning about my ancestry, with currently around 8000 ancestors in my family tree! William the Conqueror is my x29 great grandfather, and Walt Disney, Charles Darwin and Lewis Carroll are all notable (albeit very distant!) cousins of mine!
